Cookie policy
The short version
1.There are no cookies
Not “only essential cookies”. None. Load this site with the developer tools open and the cookie jar for this domain is empty.
That is possible because of what the site is: pages of text and one form. It has no login, no basket, no session and nothing to remember between visits. A cookie would have to be doing something, and there is nothing for it to do.

3.Why there is no banner
The rule that governs cookie banners in the UK, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, is about storing or reading information on your device, whatever it is called. Local storage counts, so the question is a fair one.
It does not need consent when it is strictly necessary for something you asked for. Pressing a button labelled “switch theme” is asking for the theme to switch, and remembering it is what makes that request mean anything on the next page. We store nothing unless you press it, we store one word, and it tells us nothing about you.
A banner that appeared anyway would be asking permission for something you had just explicitly done. Consent banners are worth having when there is a real choice being made; using one as decoration is how people learn to click through them.
4.Nothing from anybody else
No analytics, no advertising or social pixels, no session recording, no A/B testing, no chat widget, no embedded video. Nothing on these pages loads from a third party’s server and nothing reports back to one.
The typefaces are a case in point. Space Grotesk and Manrope come from Google Fonts, and the ordinary way to use them makes every visitor’s browser fetch a file from Google. Our servers are Google’s, which is a contract we have signed; your browser talking to Google because we embedded a font is not, so the fonts are downloaded when the site is built and served from our own domain. Instead they are downloaded when the site is built and served from our own domain, so no request leaves for anybody while you read this.
5.Server logs, which are not cookies
Our server keeps the ordinary web server record of a request: the address it came from, the page asked for, the time and the browser identifier it announced. That is not stored on your device and is not a cookie, but it is information about you, so it belongs in the same honest answer.
It exists to keep the site up and to notice abuse, is kept briefly, and is never used to build a profile or joined to anything else. The privacy policy covers it in full.
6.The products will be different
Signing in requires a session, and a session requires either a cookie or something equivalent. When the products open, the app will store what is needed to keep you signed in and nothing else. If we ever add anything beyond the strictly necessary, it will come with a real choice and a way to change your mind, not a banner with one button on it.
When that happens this page will list each item, what it does and how long it lasts, before the feature ships rather than after.
7.Clearing it
Every browser can clear local storage for a single site, usually under site settings, site data or “forget about this site”. Clearing ours removes the theme preference and nothing else, because there is nothing else. The site will fall back to whatever your operating system is set to, which is what it does on a first visit.
