Terms of service
The short version
1.Who we are
RCKTS is a trading name of RCKTS TR LTD, a company registered in England and Wales. In these terms “we”, “us” and “RCKTS” mean that company; “you” means you, and where you are acting for a business, that business as well.
2.What these terms cover
They cover your use of this website and the waitlist. They are not a contract for software: there is no product you can buy today, and signing up to hear about one does not create an agreement to supply it or to take it.
When we open the products, there will be a separate customer agreement covering the service, its availability, support and payment. You will have to read and accept that before we take a payment. It will not be this document.
3.The waitlist
Joining the waitlist means giving us an email address so we can write to you when there is something to see. Everything else on the form is optional. It costs nothing, it does not reserve you a place, a price or a seat, and it does not guarantee that we will offer you the service.
You can leave at any time using the link in any email we send, or by writing to hello@rckts.io. What we do with your details is set out in the privacy policy.
Please give us your own address, or one you are entitled to use. Adding somebody else’s is not fair on them and we will remove it if we are told about it.
4.What we say about the products
We describe software that is still being built, and not everything described on this site is finished. So:
- Descriptions are not commitments. Features may change, be delayed, or be dropped before release.
- Prices are our current intention. They exclude VAT, are in pounds sterling, and may change before anything is for sale.
- There are no dates on this site, deliberately. We would rather say nothing than give you one we then miss.
5.Using this website
You may read it, and use the form for what it is for. Please do not:
- submit anybody else’s details, or details you made up;
- attempt to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it;
- scrape it at a rate that affects anybody else, or use it to send unsolicited messages;
- copy its content and present it as your own. You are welcome to quote it with a link.
We may block access if we reasonably believe one of these is happening. For a security problem you have found rather than caused, write to hello@rckts.io with “security” in the subject. We would much rather hear from you.
6.Who owns what
The site, its text, design, code and the RCKTS name and marks belong to us or to whoever licensed them to us. Nothing here transfers any of that to you.
Anything you send us through this site stays yours: an address, a company name, a reply to one of our emails. If you send us a suggestion about the product, we may act on it without owing you anything for it; that is the only sensible way to read feedback, and we would rather say so than leave it ambiguous.
7.Availability
It is a website describing an unreleased product. We will keep it up, but we do not promise it will always be reachable, and we may change or remove any part of it at any time. If the waitlist form is down when you try it, email hello@rckts.io and we will add you by hand.
8.Liability
We do not limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. That comes first and nothing below cuts it down.
Beyond that, and because this site is free and provides no service: we are not liable for business losses of any kind, including lost profit, lost revenue, lost business, lost data or wasted expenditure, arising from your use of this site or from any decision you take based on what it says. We provide it as it is, without warranties beyond those the law implies and does not let us exclude.
If you are using this site as a consumer rather than for a business, nothing here affects your statutory rights.
9.Changes to these terms
We may update them. The date at the top says when we last did. If a change matters to somebody already on the waitlist, such as a change in what we send or who we send it with, we will say so in an email rather than only changing the page.
10.Law and disputes
11.Contact
hello@rckts.io, for anything at all. Questions about the site, about your data, or about a security problem you have found. There is one address rather than three so nobody has to guess which of them is read.
